Red Consultancy
The Rapid Enterprise Development Programme (RED) brings together experts from health, social care and social enterprise in a unique package based on combining business support with the ‘personalisation and modernisation’ agenda.
RED offers a range of products and consultancy services to Local Authorities, Charities and private providers, employment services, colleges and others to develop enterprise led opportunities that support the continued modernisation of services.

Red Products and Service
RED Workshops
This Programme guides individuals through the process of enterprise development. It can also support organisations through periods of wholesale service modernisation. The programme makes the link between supported self-employment and Individual Budgets. By generating viable concepts for very-small enterprises and combining this with creative use of Individual Budgets we can provide individuals with a real alternative to traditional day activities.
These fully accessible workshops are delivered around specific ‘enterprise tables’, and use a range of interactive sessions and role play to shape the individual enterprise propositions. They have been designed specifically to support the development of enterprise ideas being pursued by people with learning disabilities and their support workers. The RED workshop involves a number of ‘modules’, including:

- Finance: Making it all stack up
- Legal & Organisational Structures
- Operations
- Action Planning
Five RED programmes have already been successfully received in Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, London & Cornwall.
Enterprise Support Worker Training
The RED Workshop format can also be used to contribute to staff development programmes and support the creation of a new breed of personal assistants and support workers
RED Taster
A half day session using elements of the RED workshop to illustrate the scope and power of the RED workshop
One-to-One Masterclasses
Rapid familiarisation with the emerging model of Self-Directed Support, Individual Budgets and Personalisation. Recommendation: three, one-hour sessions (each with up-to one hour pre-session study).
Strategic Awayday
Facilitated awayday session for the senior management team to consider a Business Strategy for senior managers in light of the Personalisation agenda and other changes in the health and care environment.
Staff Training
In depth training for staff in personalisation issues including supported self assessment, support planning, connecting with the community and social inclusion.
